Bluegrass Academy of Pet Design is owned by Charles and Virginia Day. They have owned and operated Virginia’s K9 Clip Inc. since August 2002. We are located in Berea, Kentucky and pride ourselves in giving our students the one on one attention they need to be successful in the pet grooming field.
Virginia Day is the School Director/Administrator/Instructor of Bluegrass Academy of Pet Design. She has owned and operated Virginia’s K9 Clip Inc. since 2002. Virginia also has an Associate Degree in Office Systems and Technology, two-year certification in Business and Office, and is a state-certified pet stylist/instructor. She has a strong background in business and pet grooming that she has combined to operate a very successful school/salon.
Since 2002, Virginia has trained employees in the art of pet styling while operating a professional grooming salon. She believes that safety and compassion combined with technical skills is essential for success and raising the standards in the pet grooming industry. She attends yearly grooming seminars and is a member of Better Business Bureau. She also coordinated the Spoonbread Festival Dog Show for 7 years and participates in Career Day at local schools. Virginia has been teaching pet styling in a state-certified school since 2008. Her method of teaching is derived from her education and experience in the pet grooming field. Teaching pet styling is her passion.
Charles Day is the Bathing Instructor/Instructor Assistant of Bluegrass Academy of Pet Design. He has co-owned and operated Virginia’s K9 Clip Inc. since 2002. Charles has a passion for perfection and a love for animals that enables him to teach students the art of pet grooming with patience and care.
Kristina Lowery Robinson grooming instructor and manager at Bluegrass Academy of Pet Design. She is a graduate of the school. Kristina is an animal lover who has the patience and skills that enable her to be a successful stylist and instructor.
